HREELS experiment

A Pt surface is cooled to 30 K. Bild 1 HREELS
Acetaldehyde is condensed at multilayer coverage. Bild 2 HREELS
The sample is continuously exposed to electrons at E0. A series of HREEL spectra is recorded by measuring the count rate of scattered electrons as function of ΔE=E0-Er. Each spectrum represents a certain exposure time interval. Bild 3 HREELS
